I arrived at an empty coffee shop. Is this the tech mecca I was reading about? I asked the girl working behind the counter about the growing technology group that was meeting here. She acted like she wasn't sure what I was talked about and then suggested, "oh, yea, that thing on Thursday night upstairs."

This week, Michael Blenden and I headed to Orlando for the annual I/ITSEC conference. It was a great show with a lot of opportunities for developers in our community.

When designing Torque 3D 1.2, it was one of our goals to build the best beginning-to-end tutorial that the industry has ever seen. Ultimatly, you'll be the judge, but I think you will agree that the team has met that challenge. Kudos everyone! I can't wait for the launch, but first, we need to get the word out that we've built something great!

Today on my daily call with the guys at Graham Software, they accused us of having a zombie addiction problem. They are right...we have issues. In fact, our addiction is so bad that we've decided to have a 24 hour zombie game jam starting on Friday after our Halloween party 9:00PST/05:00GMT.

Bad news everyone. They got Mich. Today, Zombies broke into GarageGames headquarters. We all ran away while Mich thumbed through his zombie survival guide to determine the best possible route for escape. I saw him heading north towards Reno.

We are proud to announce the release of Torque 3D 1.1. This version is the most stable version of Torque since TGE and the visuals are well beyond anything we have ever released. It's a great time to be a T3D owner and we encourage you to spread the word to everyone who wants to be part of the lowest price, royalty free, full source, professional grade game engine and tools.

The best part of my job is reading comments and seeing the posts of happy customers. This blog; however, is part of the job that I don't enjoy: delivering bad news. On February 1st 2010, we will no longer have the distribution rights to deliver, sell, or give away most of the games on our store. I regret to inform the community, that we will be removing these games from the store between now and midnight January 31st.

You've been patiently waiting and the time has come. GarageGames is back! We've changed our name back to GarageGames and we are dropping the prices on all products to $99.00 to celebrate our new direction and return to our indie roots. It's been a crazy ten years for the GarageGames name and we are looking forward to ushering in the next decade.
