Milestone!

Orcs vs. Martians has reached a milestone--all essential game coding is (nearly) done. From here on out, the remaining work should be mostly polishing, optimizing, and artwork. After 4.5 years in development, that's a sigh of relief.

The Burninating

Victory flags

I recently added "victory flags" to buildings in Orcs vs. Martians. These appear atop towers and bases once the building achieves a certain number of kills.

Unit-to-unit collisions

I recently implemented unit-to-unit collisions in Orcs vs. Martians. Units now walk around each other, rather than thru each other. It works great...most of the time! Still has some rough spots. Video included.

Replay Improvements

I've made more improvements to the replay feature of Orcs vs. Martians. Players can now seek, sync with other players over the internet, and see stats before the replay finishes downloading.

Art update

I took a break from A.I. stuff to do a little right-brained work in Orcs vs. Martians. Let's hear it for Art work! Here's a new tile set "Sand". Also inside, a few new gun models for the Martians.

AI Overhaul

I'm doing a big overhaul of the AI in Orcs vs. Martians. It's not going fast, but if it works, it should be well worth it. Here's a summary of what the AI can currently do, and after the overhaul, what it should be able to do.
