RPG Template - More Elements

Time to start the year off on a productive note. Here I have a few more advances in my PRG Template with a week off I have been able do a lot of research and actual development. Here's a peek of what I've got done.

RPG Template Sneek Peak.

So I've final nearing the end of my RPG kit. I've been working on this off and on for like 3-4 years, Heres a peak on the map that will be the base for the template.

T3D 360 Swimming - Diving - Surfacing

Finally got back into the trenches. Got my swimming code working along with my rewrite of the player.cpp. I will be releasing the modifications soon to those that want to play around and expand as desired.

When work interrupts your hobbies...

So its been months since I've even seen my game code. Months since I've event touched Photoshop, and 3ds max. It's really a grind session at work and I'm starting to miss the thrill of the development life.

Player movement rewrite... Part 2

Just an update. I finally got the pieces chopped up into a understandable simple to use and simple to modify slab of justice meat. Just trying to add some finishing touches and some generic expansions to the features, these will be included in my resource later. This week end hopefully.

Player movement rewrite...

So I've been exploring the player object. It's very thorough that's for sure. I'm trying to see if i can piece together a reasonable Active battle and Melee features. It all leaves me to wonder if I could make my own movement scheme.

RPG Engine City Test - Hunters Town

Finally got around to a little level design. Originally I've tried several takes at the original design of the city. I know the main key points it needed from the my main story line. The hard part seemed like adding parts of the city that brought it to life, and make it seemed to have some kind of history.

Finally got lock on working after failing with the algorithm. There are still issues when locking on to moving characters, the character jitters...

T3D Lock on feature (concept)

This is just a resource showing my outline and plan to make a lock on feature for T3D, hopefully this can show people ways to brain storm ideas get them sounding correct, and help them map everything out before starting a feature or expansion. This isn't a law or rule it's just how I usually brainstorm ideas.

T3D 360 Directional Movement plus Double Jump!

Finally got around to editing the player.cpp to separate the character rotation from the cam rotation with out jumping through 3000 hoops. I'm so happy to finally get this working.

RPG Editor: Not dead... Yet...

So after an awesome "Rapture Party" I decided to take a small vacation from work... Just to work on my game. So you say say I sould rest? ... I don't exactly know what that means. But here's a little of what I have on my list to add to my RPG Editor.

Forest Editor VS Forest Exporter Part 1

My results from using the forest editor and my forest exporter. Trying to Improve the load time of missions when using the forest elements that were made for a given map in a release build of the game in development.

RPG Editor for T3D - Store System / Create Item / Inventory

Hello again I have finished off another section of me list of to do. This video shows how to create a store with a given set of items. It also shows how to use the item creation tab in the RPG Editor. Also though its not seen. The inventory system is in place to be used for the store.

RPG Editor for T3D - Dialogue System

This is something that I have tried to get my mind around comfortably. I wanted something moldable for many kinds of mix and match many dialogue types. I first wanted to hace just a classic feel to the system, but then I was influenced to add to special kick to it.

RPG Editor: Slowly but sure.

This project is taking a few steps forward with several steps back. But now I have the first peek at whats going one with the RPG Editor. With this peek comes a free release of the BASE Editor for setting up your RPG Database.
