Warscale 80 - Thank you Torque. Spritekin out.

I went a couple of days out on vacation with my family, just to get back to one of the worst news I've had in many years.

Warscale 79 - Covering large areas

You know when sometimes you program and develop 95% of the program but there is this 5% which is very very important but you deceive yourself thinking it is not. That is something like what happened with me this weeks.

Warscale 78 - Particular Problems

On how I solved some problems with particle systems for the game, implemented new creatures, fixed bugs all while being the typical desperate househusband.

Warscale 77 - Yo... like my bling bling?

I started playing Dungeons&Dragons using a Psionic character. That character unsuccessfully looked for a philosopher stone during all the campaign. Instead, he managed to get a lot of trinkets which made him a memorable character. I still remember my first ring of protection +1.

Warscale 76 - A challenge

After all your hard work you proudly show your work to your family or friends and of course they will say... Looks great! Very good! Amazing!. Of course... what else will they say... you suck???!!!! So sometimes is good to have a third party to make you roll a reality check.

Warscale 75 - On tutors and tutorials

I remember almost all of my teachers since kindergardten and some of them were very fun, others were really boring but each of them leaves something into us. The tutorial system for Warscale is not the best but if people finish the tutorial mission and are able to grasp the game basics then I consider I have succceeded.

Warscale 65 - Devil meet Guimo, Guimo meet details

If, as people say, devil is really in the details, then at any means, by this time the devil and I we have now become really good acquaintances.

Warscale 63 - Aiming for the kill

After eating every breakfast, lunch and dinner in a futile attempt to scratch the variety of the peruvian cuisine, I'm back completely relaxed, having gained wisdom and a couple of pounds and aiming for the final push to make Warscale come alive.

Warscale 62 - Half life... or living between tiles

Do you know the feeling when something in your game is just not right? Sometimes is something that may be overtly complicated to implement and you program a good enough solution and thats ok... but it is not the real thing. And while everything is working fine the thing burns in your brain like an ice cream headache and may even appear as a ghost in your worst nightmares.

Warscale 61 - It doesn't sound that bad

After listening to thousands of sound effects my mind started to wander and I literally got some really bad nightmares... my wife even told me I kicked the air a couple of times.

Warscale 60 - Polishing

The first round of polishing has started. Unfortunately a programmer is in a bad seat because you cannot critizise your own work. But you have to so it so you need to take out the programmer hat and think you are the most annoying and dumb user. hen you have no idea how many bigs can be found.

Warscale 59 - Inky Pinky Blinky Clyde
