Warscale Blog 98 - Swinger and a feature adjustment request

I was just swinging from here to there testing different things and while testing T3D I found some issues in the 2D rendering I wonder if GG would consider fixing.

Warscale 97 - Shhhh... I'm hunting Wagons...

This week I decided to go and create dragons. If you have played most fantasy games you have obviously found dragons. And in the D&D game we find metallic or precious stone dragons. But, in my heart, the best and most attractive of the lot are always the chromatic dragons.

Yet Another Master Server Resource - YESMASTER

I hear from time to time people crying for a Master server. I just posted a simple implementation in Java which interacts with Torque via TCP.

Warscale 96 - Going through the branches

I have this thing about treants. So many of my DnD characters have died under the roots of those nasty dirt suckers. But I think they are amazing creatures so I decided to go for them. So here they are the Warscale versions.

Warscale 95 - Paypal integration... feature complete!!!

It made me suffer a lot as it needed a really secure and sturdy framework, but at last the final component in Warscale is finished. The game is not completely finished yet but it is all way up from now on.

Warscale 94 - Expanding TGE capabilities with TCP+Java

I have always complained that Torque needed some access to HTTPs connections. Or just to anything else SSH. The problem is that integrating an SSH library in Torque was to say the least, painful and overkill. As usual the solution is so simple its just embarassing not having developed it before.

Warscale 93 - Gameplay improvements

Following the advice of some members in this forum, I decided to clean up a lot of things and improve the gameplay. The game feels faster now. Also a cry for help.

Warscale 92 - Warscale Universe

I managed to finish all the unique spells for the gold store. I think all spells for Warscale RC1 are finished (up now) so this is the latest full display. Also, a serious invitation for those brave enough to use and improve the mithology behind Warscale. Warning: Image heavy. 5MB data.

Warscale 91 - Back in the saddle? Why???

I said I was stopping Warscale CCG. and I really meant it, but something more mundane came and here I am again... new cards, new features, lots of rounded corners and the corpses of defunct bugs!!! Read it all here!!!

Spritekin Limbo 2 - Bitmaps and progress bars

I have cleaned up some more code and found this code you might find interesting regarding bitmaps and progress bars. (Updated: Fixed image references)

Spritekin 91 - In the programmer limbo

After shutting down Warscale, I was left on a programmer limbo and while packing and sorting things before my next project, I found some snippets here and there I would love to show.

Warscale Epilogue - Stopping development

Not a joke or anything. I was already thinking about this and mentioned previously but now I have really made my mind. And no amount of salmon slapping will change that :)

Warscale 87 - Artifacts and tactics

A couple of new artifacts appear in Warscale and I spent some time playing Magic The Gathering Tactics and wonder how similar are both games.

Warscale 86 - Milestone

Warscale has reached a huge milestone. I have finished with all the projected spells and now I will start with the artifacts. Also there is progress in the Warscale T3D port.

Warscale 85 - Cannibalize

No, this is not a new spell or feature. Warscale will be chopped to pieces and sold as tasty morsels with sight on a proper migration to T3D.

Warscale 84 - Fire up

This week like all the last weeks, I was supposed to create the dispel magic spell. Instead I was always derailed into other spells which called my attention and in this case are fireballs and fiery hands.

Warscale 83 - New year resolution

I plan to make this year the year when I launch Warscale. And I start with a couple of very powerful spells.

Warscale 82 - Merry XMas!

This should be my last post this year and is just a small update. I hope everybody had a good year and I specially wish this year GarageGames will come back stronger and better. See you next year!

Warscale 81 - Feed me!!!

It was good to read about all your projects! So I'm back and this time I improved even more the area spells and terrain movement. And also created a spell that made my mouth salivate in hunger.

Warscale 80 - Not dead... just a hangover...

Forget my last blog post. I have been analyzing the other options and even when those are really good options in my opinion NOTHING beats Torque. I'm in love with Torque and will stay here to see a new renaissance. And to demonstrate my faith, here is the real Warscale Blog 80!!!!
