Torque 2D Political Satire Contest - Contest #2

We had a great response to our hour long zen garden contest. This week we are listening to community feedback and giving everyone a bit more time.

For this contest we are switching gears to Torque 2D and current events.

Provide a video or a screen capture of your best political satire using Torque 2D to create the scene or game. Post your entry as a comment to this blog no later than 11:59 AM PST Friday February 10th.

We will announce the winner by the end of community power hour at 1:00 PM PST that Friday and award $129 in store credit for first party products.

Just a quick note – we are going for humor, satire, and a display of Torque 2D capabilities. We are NOT looking for anything offensive or illegal (IE – threating to any politician or candidate). Any entries that are deemed to be offensive or potentially illegal will be removed and disqualified from the contest.

Finally for our international community members – feel free to take some fun shots at US politics OR give us some insight to your local political fun.

I hope people start getting used to these little things now, so that they keep an eye out every week and we get more contributions :)

Thanks Ronny, I would get T3D but I know my faults and I'd lose my self in that engine just like I did in unreal. I love level design and I'm be too much a kid in a candy store and never get any work done. I'll get it eventually but I have to know out the T2D laundry list first.

I too love the community involvement I'm sure the contest will get bigger and bigger. I still have to claim my prize for winning and I own all the first party 2d stuff so I guess I get some 3d add on and mess with them in Blender or something.

I have two accts and a lost account from college, with TGEA on it. Had some weird code email I had to use. I have iT2D but haven't really delved into idevice dev yet.

In the spirit of political satire, here's a T2D game I made over a year ago, back when the TSA scanning issues were in the headlines and such... There isn't much gameplay to it, but it's mostly just figuring out how to play and how to get the 5 achievements. But if you get a couple laughs out of it, I've achieved what I was aiming for.

There's some very tame cartoon nudity and a little sexual humor, but I included a censored mode for the nudity. NSFW(maybe)

After creating this, I have both been scanned and opted out. I enjoyed neither.
