I'm adding AFX to my project and (not the first time) realize that the spell animation all work off the basic torque animation model.
I'm ignorant to the workings of 3DS Max ... so please go easy on me.

Curious -- will they let me modify my 3d models so thier skeletons are compliant with the torque model animation files ?I'm adding AFX to my project and (not the first time) realize that the spell animation all work off the basic torque animation model.

@Jeff, did you rig your models in 3dsmax ?
a side note;
I am adding a node placement solution to Doit! 2.0. I think this would be the key to your issue since this type of issue is, most of the time, related to missing nodes in the dts model. So perhaps yes, Doit would aid in your work but not until 2.0 is released.
*However, I cannot be 100% certain without more details like the following; was a biped used for the rig or was it a custom rig ? What errors do you receive when you try to use the animations on the player ? ..that will help me to diagnose your issue and give you a definite answer on what you're looking for.

How many times have you bought a product from Developers here that made you truly glad you bought it?
As a man that loves tools, I tend to collect them, Software tools are no exception, and soon after installing the License for this tool then I commenced into a flurry of attacks trying to break it. ( Really ).
Well I didn't succeed after a few dozen attempts to get this thing to whine with some sort of error window.
I beat on it, kicked it, pushed all of it's buttons, and it still stood there ready for the next shove.
After roughly 30+ attempts I finally decided it's really a very valuable tool, one that will surely remain installed.
I was so very pleased with this tool after the beating I gave it.
I looked at my exported DTS sitting there in the barebones mission.
And a simple click of the crossbow... BOOM! then I put Kork on top of the model and he stood there without falling through and shot himself in the foot until he died on top of the Model.
It was then, that I stood up and yelled ALRIGHT!! Huzzzahhhh !!!
My wife entered the room and asked me what was going on, when I showed her the results (that took just seconds to receive) and explained what was going on.. she said "Dork!".. then smiled at me and walked away.
( In english that means 'Honey, I am glad your happy with your tool' ).
This tool was the best my money got spent on, in a very long time.
If you don't have this time saving little gem installed on your Dev Rig yet, I just have to ask: "What are you waiting for?"
Thanks EB for making this, I can't stop smiling!
