First Day as GarageGames Employee!!
by Melv May · 02/02/2009 (3:07 am) · 37 comments
Well, it finally happened. Today is the first day working as an employee for GarageGames!
Cue cheesy staged shot of me in my "office" wearing my new GG hoodie:

... and the great news is that I no longer have to spend hours travelling to work which is great especially considering that today we woke to a snow-covered UK:

As you may know, I'll be working full-time on the Torque Game Builder. That's great news for me and even better for the community of existing TGB owners.
Anyway, that's it for today and from now on I'll do my best to post up regular blogs as the TGB development ramps-up.
EDIT: If any of you have a FaceBook account then please come join me. I have a FaceBook account "Melv May". Also, I've created a group called "Torque Game Builder". Come join me there!
All the best everyone,
Melv.

Your office looks pretty similar to mine. I'm sure it won't be long before you're working in your PJs too :P (Just spare us those pictures if you don't mind.)

@Melv...I'm definitely pixel-jealous. 2560x1600! I thought I had lots of screen real estate. I think I need an upgrade now...

... and I would've said "yes boss"! :)

@Brett: You should've said "with all that screen real-estate you should be able to get more done faster"!... and I would've said "yes boss"! :)

Hey Melv, I was going to congratulate you, but when I saw those giant monitors and especially that cool GG hoodie, I became very jealous and decided that I hate you instead. :PI think I'll go drown my sorrows in a beer.

mmmmmmm.....GG hoodies....not only do they look awesome, but they are warm and comfortable too (which is great if you live in a city that is perpetually cold and rainy).

Actually the big monitors (lots of them) explains a lot. Heck, I'm third world workforce! If you want a roommate at the butterfly house, I can get a plane or boat ticket in no time. Provided they give me lots of big monitors. I promise not to snore (too much).

I see. You live in the butterfly blue house and just cross the "JESSICA" printed on snow to Garage Games' white door. I heard about workers renting drawers to sleep close to work, this can't be worse than that.Actually the big monitors (lots of them) explains a lot. Heck, I'm third world workforce! Nice, enjoy your new job!

@Brett: I only just noticed but I've got exactly the same background on both monitors! Next you'll be telling me you use DisplayFusion to get those same backgrounds across both monitors!
"mandolux-slowness-l-2560.jpg" and "mandolux-slowness-r-2560.jpg"
Please tell me it ain't true!

That makes TGBs future much brighter and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Interesting thought that I'm not the only one rating the G15 as a good tool for development nor the G9 ;)
