My problem is it only shows the latest four games I rated (or something) - not the four I'd really like associated with me. But if they are going to be editable soon, cool.

Regarding my thoughts on the badge, I think when people call it advertising, that's exactly the point. By adding my badge after each (genuine) reply/post, I've already had a few more views of my profile, game and a friend invite. None of this would of been possible before now. You would have had to blatantly advertise yourself or game for people to check it out.
So I call it soft advertising (and somewhat bragging rights). Using a little netiquette, you'll notice that most people (like myself) put the badge once in a post after their (hopefully genuine) comment. But nonetheless, more customisation options of the badge can only be a good thing!
EDIT: I've got some invites still if anyone's still lacking access to the exclusive gentlemen & ladies gge membership club ;)

My friends list is a bit empty (2 at time of writing) so feel free to add me as a friend if ya care too or I'll be forced to do so and you don't want that! :0)Regarding my thoughts on the badge, I think when people call it advertising, that's exactly the point. I'm glad GG is planning on making editable badges. In the mean time, I'll be glad for Firefox and its add-ons. I hope whomever worked hard on them takes no offense; It's just not the thing for me.

If this was solely a player portal, I'd think differently.I'm glad GG is planning on making editable badges. In the mean time, I'll be glad for Firefox and its add-ons. I hope whomever worked hard on them takes no offense; It's just not the thing for me.

Maybe the best option would be to allow them like currently being done, but have an option in your profile here to 'ignore GGE badges' and have them not display to that person.
