New AdamPack is here!
OK, this is a little late, what with there having been an Image of the Day, and a news item on the subject up for a while now. But I just noticed my last .plan was titled "New AdamPack is on its way," and I figured I'd better get up-to-date :).

From the IotD:

"Most obviously, I added a T-shirt texture to the pack. The old muscle shirt allowed more flexibility in turning Adam into other characters (like, say, some kind of fantasy warrior character), but I prefer the way the T-shirt looks. The old muscle shirt will, however, still be the primary skin in the updated pack, and it'll still be available as a layer in the Photoshop file. While I was I was making changes to the texture I also added a khaki version of the pants.

In response to one of the bugs reported in the original release, I added triggers to the run cycles that create the footsteps and poofs of dust that appear when a Torque character runs.

Beyond that, I made small tweaks to the vertices, UVs, and vertex influences. I also made some minor tweaks to the animations. "

Here's the link to AdamPack.

Thanks again to everyone who helped get this out the door!

Awesome work, Spencer. :) Whats in the future? Any new packs or projects you can hint at?

Thanks, Adam!

As for future plans, someday I might get around to packing up this character. Here's an image:

This was the character I initially started with when I was making a character pack, but I abandoned it when I found out Bravetree was doing a female character also. So I went with a male (one that I'd been working on also). I also just kind of liked how the female character turned out, and figured I'd keep it for my own projects :).

I was also knocking around the idea of making add-on model packs that would work with both AdamPack and Bravetree's Girl Pack. Like a bundle of characters of all different genres (and both male and female) that would ship without animations. If you wanted the animation, you'd have to buy one or both of the existing character packs.

All of those simple sounding ideas represent a tremendous amount of work. So we'll see :)

Spencer, you should definitely release the gal. Joe's girl model is very stylized, and while very good, isn't anywhere near as generally useful to me as the lady pictured above seems. She really looks great, and it would be a shame to not see it released :)
