Wow... It's been over a year since my last plan... Not that anyone noticed :0
Wow... It's been over a year since my last plan... Not that anyone noticed :0
A lot has been going on over that time... I put DUI on indefinite hold a while back. Mostly due to lack of help, but I will come back to it someday. I then started thinking of different ideas that weren't such giant productions and managed to get a few of them to a decent point, but all of those I ended up killing due to my lack of C++ skills. So I decried to "bite the bullet" so to speak and try to find other developers in similar situations... So I put time into revamping my portfolio, updated my site (www.kjostudios.com) and posted a message in the team building forum.
Somehow EA came across my site and I found myself in there for an interview.. But I wasn't really prepared with a hard copy of my portfolio or a demo reel so I think I botched that, but I only had 2 hours notice for my interview, so there wasn't much I could do about it :/ So some advice for everyone.. always be prepared because you just never know who's checking out your stuff! My post also caught the attention of the guys over at 21-6 and I've been helping them out on their latest project which is going to rock da house!
I'm also looking forward to the birth of my first child who is due Nov 1st... So I'm really starting to get excited about that. Maybe I'll start getting him to learn some programming at an early age so he can help out his old man :)
