Desperate times requires desperate action.....massive job hunt begins!!
I was just informed by my current employer that either 6/15 or 6/30 will be my last day of employment. Part of me is O.K with it, I could dive head first into game dev, but the other side is scared crapless. I know I can not afford to _NOT_ work, so working Indie Game Dev full time is just _NOT_ an option for me right now.

If you know of anyone in the US that is need of a System Engineer or Software Engineer drop them my contact information or toss me theirs!!

Sorry to here that Ron. You may want to try United Parcel Service if there is a hub near where you live I think they have a hub in Rochester and I know they do in Syracuse. I don't really know how close that is to you.

Good luck man! I was in the same boat about 2 years ago, although w/o a degree and w/ 2 yrs prof. experience. I ended up going back to school after I couldn't find anything in my domain (commercial printing software). I'm actually getting a pretty cool job for the next year here at school. I'll be the computer lab manager with plenty of time for game dev.

If you want to come to Seattle I guess the Seattle Times (newspaper) is hiring where one or two of my ex-coworkers now work: http://nwclassifieds.careercast.com/texis/js?q=&qMatch=all&qField=All&qSort=smart&qLoc=&qMiles=&qcompid=3c8fceb02&qDate=&lookid=nwclassifieds

I cant recommend the NW area as a good market to search for jobs in though!
