Hmm...another month gone already???
We announced that the Paintball Net project was back in the saddle back in April. A better description would be that we had our foot in the stirrup...
I take most of the blame. I underestimated how much time it would take to get the final draft of my book completed.
My quote for the last 4 weeks:
In any case, I dusted off the PBN CVS server and merged it with the current HEAD. That was surprisingly painless. Or rather, not that painful. Took me less than an hour to take care of the most obvious merge issues.
Then came the First Build in VC++ in 5 Months. Damn. Code rots if you leave it lying around... After 2 hours, though, of build-curse-fix, build-curse-fix, I got a successful build.
I stopped there, though. I'll tackle testing the build--and fixing all of the fun, new scripting errors tomorrow or Monday.
Overall, I liked most of the changes I saw in the codebase. Looks like the community has been chugging forward in my absence. Which is the cool part of communities like this one.
Anyway, y'all have a good weekend! =)

You write a book because you have something to say. But as you get near the end, you get really tired of saying it...

As for *hinting*...I have not yet *begun* to hint... Wait and see when the book is actually on store shelves. :-)
