Right now we are quickly working to do yet an other pass on the code (and get the darn walk cycle working with the new EQUIP_SLOT code) but in the mean time we want to find out what kind of clothing you all would like to see as the default set that will come with the pack. We plan on setting it up like so.

-3 full clothing sets
-3 full clothing sets
-3 full clothing sets

-5 random clothing parts

each of the clothing sets will be stylized clothing, such as "wild west", "sci-fi" what have you, please post what you would like to see in this format to make it easy for us to compile the list together, the random clothing parts, just list some things you would like to see, you dont need to keep it to clothing that would be possible without the pack, but just let your mind go crazy

EXAMPLE:
- Wild West
- Sci-fi
- Modern Street Clothes

-Goggles, Long Hair, Extra Shoes for pack 1.

Hopefully you all get the idea :)

and thank you for your input!

Post-apocalyptic and Sci-Fi would be cool.

post-apoc / sci-fi or even "business style" will do fine :)

Tek0   (Dec 01, 2007 at 05:46 GMT)
Medieval

Something else that would be cool is different hair styles. Will you be able to swap out characters hair just like you can the clothes?

Paul Ash   (Dec 01, 2007 at 18:15 GMT)
Hair would work just like clothing, a deformable object mounted to the player.

So yes

Modern clothes would interest me.

Anything would be fine, as long as you include a very detailed instal/merge document. All and all though, I like idea of being able to make what I want, but if you're going to include something, make it as generic as possible, probably Scifi/modern day.
Edit: After thinking about it a bit more I think you should include basically one piece of each kind of clothing that can be used. Like one set of pants, shirt, jacket over shirt, hat, glasses, etc.

The documentation is what you are really going to be paying for.

The document is extremely extensive, will be more then 50 pages(almost a small book) telling you how to merge your code( I will be including a engine folder with only the files that have changes in them, a true must you almost never see) and intense documentation on how to create clothing for both 3dsMax and Maya.

It will even go into how to rig your first character and how to export out of each of the art tools, which is poorly documented else where at best.

Any chance of a Blender or Milkshape tutorial?

Perhaps down the road, but most of the stuff shown in the first two will be enough for you to get an idea of how it works, there are a few tricks that get this to work that will be shown in the documentation.

Looks like we are going with

Sci-fi
Post-apocalyptic
Wild West

These will be our base sets, there will be four for each of them(two male two female) This should provide you with enough perspective on it to develop you own, When the concept art is complete I will post it.

I need Ancient Roman, Mediterranean and Egyptian. :)

Are you selling this kit now? It's been a while since you posted.
