Create a Global Gravity Controller.
I've done most of the Gravity Controller for Star Quest 3046. If you're reading this, then you probably have no idea what SQ 3046 is. So read the project I'm working on as well.
Gravity Control seems to be a rather large, "behind the scenes" project. Seems that everyone wants to control gravity, but no one wants to actually code it into the engine. Not even the Developers it seems. I got some rather hanis responses from someone in the TGE staff regarding this. Hopefully when they see how I've done this they'll incorperate this into the latest HEAD.
I've also got some rather negative responses from a few folks as to the method of actually doing the Gravity Controller. I'm hoping that after reading some of the reasons to why I'm setting it up that others will follow the trend. I find that a lot of people are just unfamiliar with how C++ works that they re-code everything that is already there and in use. C++ is setup to be a rather effecient coding system, those that try to change how it works or not utilize the methods already inside the system are doomed to large memory requirements.
At present I have the basic code laid out and to add a gravity is a mere 5 step process for each class file. Hoping that it will be simple to follow, I've setup a preliminary resource in the forums. Once I have figured out the use of the ConsoleFunction() function, I'll submit the resource and hope to God the TGE staff sees it, and adds it to HEAD.
