IRC chat this Sunday, bring any questions regarding the Reaction Engine SDK.
Hi All,
Well, as many of you might know, I've been frantically working to setup my new computer after my last one bailed out last Saturday. Networking my older Win98 SE machines to the new WinXP Pro proved to be much more frustrating and time consuming than I'd expected.
Anyhow my development environment is just about up and running again, so hopefully I'll be able to get back to some real work. Not just monkeying around with network protocols.
The launch of the Reaction Engine SDK went great. There has been an overwhelming response to it. I'm blown away by the number of people who've expressed an interest in the Linux and Mac ports. I've always wanted to get these ports completed but there's only so much time in the day.
Anyhow, it looks like we've got some great talent lined up to crank out these ports. So hopefully Monster Studios will be releasing the Linux and Mac ports by mid July.
On to more important things
The Reaction Engine SDK beta team and I are all going to meet this Sunday (05-18-03) at 4PM PDT for the first of a series of discussions on the use and future of the RE SDK. You're all welcome, whether you've bought the engine or just thinking about checking it out.
Jay Moore has suggested we moderate these discussions so that they can be cleaned up and posted on GG. So there may be an informal moderator queueing questions.
Here are the specifics of the Reaction Engine chat room:
www.maxgaming.net
port 6667
MGOnetwork (same as #garagegames)
channel #Reaction-Engine
Hope to see you all there.
