I'm a sponge
We're just about ready to get into Phase 3 of Myrmidon. Right now is kind of a slow time for the programmers with the end of Phase 2 and the GDC. For me its mostly just chill-out and research time for me. I do love research. If there's anything I like better than coding something, its got to be researching and figuring out how to code something.

I'm now fixing some minor bugs in my mission generator code and planning on going over the F11 editor code. I'm not familiar with that part of the code at all right now. I'm doing this in expectation of adding the dynamic mission generation tools to the editor, which is required for the next phase. This will be done so the level designers won't have to tinker with the *.mis files just to get things like randomly placed rocks in the mission.

For fun, I have been trying out DAoC -- more research, heh. Love it, damn fine game. I have been going over some our old game design stuff too in order to give some lame programmer game design suggestions for Phase 3. :)

Mike, the editor interface is a breeze to modify. It only took a few hours one morning to add a shape population menu (random shape generation). If I'd have used Melv's fxReplicator, it'd probably take a few minutes :))

Its pretty fun anyway :))

Phil.

Phil,

Right on. Can't wait to dig in to this. If it's half as fun as adding console commands, I'm so there! haha :)
