Starting in on the final Week of this Phase
Things have been going good. I haven't had a lot of time to work on the Myr project last week because I didn't get a whole lot of time between planning my wedding reception, putting together a 10 pound packet of forms for INS (my newly wed wife is from France), putting in over 60 hours in my day job, plus a few other unexpected admin things I had to take care of. Everything seems to happen at once. I even got some cavities filled. But I cranked a good bit of code on the weekend. It has been a really hectic week for me, but satisfying in the end -- I can finally sleep! :) I've cleared away the path for me to focus more on the game development this week, which was my goal. Yes!
Anyway, code freeze is this coming Sunday. I don't have much left on my plate to do for this Phase, just some generation of enemies stats dynamically. I already have the placement code for the terrain enemies worked out and I have the objective generation almost complete as well. I'm really starting the crank in the Torque script. It's all clicking. I've never had the source for a scripting language that I worked in before. Man that helps when you start to get past the intermediary stage. I love it. Being able to add your own functions to the engine is very satisfying.
I'm hoping that since I don't have a lot left I can finish up quickly and help out the other programmers before the freeze.
Time to code!
