Blog post
Well after reading Richard's "First Blog"entry, it made me think that I should probably do one as well.
I have had a good friend raving about Torque for months, and I have finally been convinced to check it out for myself. Just starting out with Torque, I have been thinking that a development blog will keep me motivated and help me to continue work on my projects. And surely anything that can help reduce the chances of yet another half-finished project is a good thing!
My goal is to reclaim game development as my hobby. I want to use Torque to help me prototype some of the game ideas that have been gnawing away at me for years, to help learn new skills and keep old skills sharp, and to experiment with community focused game designs intended for platforms like XBLA and EDI.
So far today has been a day of setting up. Setting up my Garage Games account. Setting up Torque Shader Engine. Setting up a WIKI for organizing the game design for my projects. Setting up Perforce (sorry, CVS is not my cup of tea). Setting up my dev enviornment. and so on. I always forget how much setting up there is to do on new projects, but it does kind of help break through the 'blank page' wall sometimes.
So what am I going to actually do? I dont know yet =). I'll decide once I'm more familiar with Torque, and it looks like it should be fun gaining that familiarity.

Good luck. I got my first 3dmodel and collision mesh with blender today. I gave myself a pat on the back.
