Great looking pack. I love packs that actually provide a pallette for the artist rather than only 8 objects. Does the texture maps include texture templates under either of the licenses?

Thank you for your comment :)

The commercial license includes all source files, the Psd's are layered, and the wire frame template is included for the models.

Nice work! Good to see more Torque art packs coming out. For folks who want to see the objects, I found some more screenshots, including one which seems to show every object in the pack, over on their website.

Your screenshots say they are in TGEA - does the pack include normal maps? It didn't say that, so I assume not, but I thought it was worth asking.

Last note, since this is your first pack: with Shaper now allowing direct alteration of DTS models, and DTS export to MS3D format, charging extra for source models is not the draw it used to be. ;)

Looks World of Warcraftish to me, which is cool.

Looking great! I actually like the building the shots were taken in too... where did that come from?

Syllus   (Jul 02, 2008 at 15:08 GMT)
@Kevin
No the pack does not currently contain normal maps, although that is a good idea and something we are now considering going back and revamping. If we do add normal maps to this particular pack any accounts who have purchased it will recieve the upgrade for free of course. Thanks for the response as we incourage community feedback so that we can make our content packs and the overall experience as pleasurable and simple for the community as possible.

@Dave
Thanks for the positive feedback! We actually built that inn, in constructor to have a setting for the screenshots. :)

Yea, I ditto Kevin's remark. I'd consider buying packs like these if all sources was included.

It's also easy to open DTS in Constructor and save them out as MAPs, then bring them into almost any 3D app.

wow, I can't believe I just read that...

They have an indie pack - with no source, and a commercial pack - with all source... (and only a mere $10 difference at that) which obviously means that if you do not buy the commercial pack... then you are not legally allowed to alter the dts. That is the same as saying: "Well, since I can get a crack for photoshop on the web... buying a legal copy just isn't as appealing as it used to be." That's called stealing... and from a fellow indie... unbelievable.

But they are included... in the commercial pack...

I must admit i am very surprised... and disappointed... to see something like this in the GG community.

On the flip side, good job on the pack guys and congrats on your first release, it looks great!
