Blog post
Although I have been a member of the Torque community for a long time I do believe that this is my first blog post... ever. :) I'm not one to spout off with nothing to say but this time it deserved a post. The enhancements to TGEA 1.7 are incredible. It is not finished... but this is definately the best TGEA has ever been.

I wanted to post a few pictures of the project we are currently working on here at Black Skull Studios. I cannot as of yet divulge any information on it, but I am loving the way it is turning out in TGEA 1.7 so much that I wanted to at least drop a few screenies out here.

Once again, thanks GG for all the dedication and effort!

And without further adieu...

Looks good man! Nice view distance, nice lush foliage. Is he a duck hunter, or a spec-ops soldier... hmmmmm :)

This is shockingly awesome. It really does look that good.
To bo honest most games really look like they've been made in Torque (not that this is a bad thing), you can tell little things from the screenshots, but that just appears like there is no sign of the original 'Demo look' there.
Nice work.

Great unified tones in your landscape. Very aesthetic.

If you haven't done any work on water shoreline rendering, then you've done a great job matching up colors to hide the common "jagged edge" that I always see when water meets land.

Thanks for all the kind words guys :)

The really encouraging part behind it, is that this is all still very early in the conceptual stages, we have not really even begun to utilyze TGEA's advanced graphics capabilities yet.

I think that once we get more of the advanced graphics features in place, that it will really start to shape up and look good.

The point is... if it can look like this with minimal work and some good level design... how is it going to look once we start really utilyzing this engines graphical power? Very exciting to think about! :)

This engine is actually quite amazing when you think about what you get vs. what you paid for it, and it is only getting better with time!
