So - after not doing so hot in trying to get something working on my own in the 3d version of the engine (i'm not much of a programmer and paying one has kinda been out of the question) i bought myself a seat of TGB. I was not feeling very well today, so i took the day off work but as boredom kicked in i decided to sit down and do the tutorials that came with the engine. within a few short hours i had a little physics-type game going that i was quite proud of!

I think that this engine maybe the perfect for for my Scurvy Pete Idea, which would be a platformer centered around an undead pirate and his quest for pirate aritfacts to help him free his long lost love.. his parrot.

I've got a ton of sketches and such... i should be posting them over the next few days...

I'm kind of excited that I might be able to tackle this project on my own since i had such a hard time finding help with the 3D stuff... confidence is defiantely renewed!~

Hey man,

Sucks you lost hope with the "3d version", but glad you are excited about TGB. I hope your project goes great! I to have the "3d version", TGEA to be exact and it is alot to take in, but hopefully one of these days all muster up enough motivation to learn all I need to learn to finish atleast one of my game ideas. Anyways don't mean to steal your lime light here bud. Wish you the best of luck with your upcoming game!

Scurvy Pete sounds great, like playing Monkey Island from the Le Chuck's side... Ha! Best of luck from a fellow TGB'r who hasn't completely given up on the 3d side yet.
