crocagator created as an element for a TGB game underconstruction.

You will have to wait and see what the team at GG has in mind for the crocagator. As an intern at GG they have me creating the assets for this mystery game.

Kind of hard to watch over and over - but very cool. Makes me wonder what kind of game this is for.

Can't wait to start my internship soon!

Hey look! It's the first glimpse of GG's new "Pitfall IV" game! WOOHOO! :P

All kidding aside, I like it Joshua.

Ponds, alligators, lilly pads. Means one thing to me - Frogger!!

I LOVE PITFALL! ;) I used to sneak into the living room at like 3am to play pitfall on the Koleko Vision (sp?). My dad ended up throwing that game away =(

I wonder if GG has any highly paid intern positions available? *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

Edit: For actual critique on the art, I think it looks good. Could use with the lily pads bouncing back and forth when the gator enters into the pond.

Very nice. From personal experience - living in Tampa, FL with a bunch of alligators in the pond in our backyard... the gator is a bit too blue - anything a bit more greenish or brownish would help. When he enters the water, I'd say he should get further out instead of sinking in right at the shore.. and that would allow the splash to travel over and wobble the lily pads.

Also, (again from personal experience), they actually have fairly long, exagerated strides even when they are moving very quickly... he looks like he's kinda taking baby steps.

Hope that helps. (Now you all can feel sorry for the artist on My Bogle!)

Edit: out of curiosity - what tool(s) did you use to create your character and splash effect?

Andrew,

I used a light table to make the alligator frames, painted the gator and things in photoshop. I used Image ready to make the spash for the GIF. Thanks for the insight about alligators, yes i think I will change it and make him slip into the water.
