And I still fully intend to continue with my little project attempt.
However I took into account all the advice I have recieved and have just been focusing on drawing skill at the moment. I have torque, I have the show tool, I even completed the tutorial (go me! heh), but before i even bother to start"making" I need a full design document. I need to know exactly what I'm doing and what steps i need to take, aspects and such. And this is not easy when competing with A levels.
So I did redraw the Ur'Tesk and Rak-Pur. I decided to drop the shoulder pads and such possibly, because i think i might wants to implement armor into the game at a later stage. So shoulder pads will become a mountable object. Rather than a part of the character models. Of course this doesnt apply to the Ur'tesk as they are pretty much naked, not that they have much to hide as they are A sexual and breed through those strange jewel things on their chests. I'm not sure how yet. maybe they are eggs?
Yes. I'm still throwing around idea's which although useless, bring me closer to what I'm trying to get down. I still need to draw up concepts of all the characters. I still need to do ALOT of basic stuff. But I'll get there in the end. I now know what the facial markings on the Ur'Tesk will look like if thats anything worth focusing on. Small steps... small steps... or so they say. I'm still having a bit of trouble really getting to grips with the look of "bucket" jaws which I planed for the Rak-Pur.
basically this is just to keep anyone who's in the slightest interested, interested and let you aall know that this is not dead. I do plan to do it, just it will take a LONG time before you see anything from the gaming engine.
Thanks.
