Now that my second week as a regular in the GG office is coming to an end, I feel it is about time that I introduce myself and get rid of that nasty none underneath the Recent Blog Posts heading!

GarageGames or Bust was the official motto that we tagged onto my 2500 mile trip out here to Eugene. With nothing but myself and whatever I could cram into my Saturn Ion, I left my former home of Michigan behind to join the cause here at GG. I am beyond thrilled to have been afforded the opportunity to join this amazing, dynamic team here.

For everybody who is wondering who exactly I am, I guess this would be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Sean Sullivan and I have a strong infatuation for all things gaming and Internet. I have spent countless hours in my life studying and implementing web development and design (among other creative initiatives). Fate led me in the direction of GarageGames and as one thing led to another I finally found this awesome creative environment that I had been searching for my entire life. This is a life long dream realized--working in the gaming industry with people who are truly making an impact.

The projects ahead are amazing and what I have seen of this community is truly inspirational! It is so great to be a part of this!

With all these new people getting on at GarageGames, will there be any room for me in a few years?

I think Benjamin Bradley still holds the record for longest drive (Florida to Eugene) but I still hold the record for smallest car (2 door Ford Escort ZX2 *and* I had my cat with me =P)!

I also have you beat by ~700 miles or so (Charlotte to Eugene)! I think my motto was "Eugene or Bust" so you did have a better motto than mine =P

Benjamin Bradley   (May 26, 2006 at 18:20 GMT)
Yeah... I think our drive from south of Miami ran upwards of 3,700 miles. Replacing all four tires on my truck in Nebraska and running from a hurricane in Florida. Ahh... memories.

Yippie, The apostrophe bug has been squashed!

And a big welcome to Sean! Our web team just doubled! Got him busy working on a new, soon to be announced, website for indie gamers and he was crazy enough to drive out here before our office move so I am sure I will find a few boxes for him to carry. ;)

Hahahaha, love Rick's remark about being crazy (or clueless ? ;)) enough to drive BEFORE the move : your back has just been drafted for moving duties, son
Cheers Sean, hope you have fun with that interesting bunch of fellas called GG

Come back to the Midwest! We're never going to establish a serious game development center in the Midwest if everyone keeps fleeing to the coasts!

Remember, global warming says that the coasts are going to be under water - come back to the high ground! :)

Apostrophe bugs aren't the only bugs being squashed around here, you should see the front of Sean's car after driving cross country...

Charlie Malbaurn   (May 27, 2006 at 18:23 GMT)
if you want to make me really happy, you can add a dns entry so that when I type garagegames.com I don't get taken to msn with the option of going to gorgegames.com
www. was so last week

Matt F,
I hold the longest drive record I think.
Connecticut to California in a car that needed oil every 50 miles.
I even had an old guy that looked like Santa try to pick me up in a bus stop near the New York/Ohio border
