I am an old engineer/programmer that can no longer find employment in my choosen field. My son was interested in making comic books. Since I have been using computers a very long time, I started in to looking at how computer can be used in making all forms of art. This has led me to various computer programs and implementations. While I have found alot of informatiions and programs related to my interest, I have found it very hard to get people to work with. I have basically been a computer hetmit the last serveral years.
My investigations have led me the torque game engine. I am very interested in working with this product. I have found the documentation to be not as good as other documentation I have used in the past. Also, aot of the documentations appear to be for out of date versions. I would like to work with some other people in the use of this tool. This could in the help of the other persons projects or in the implementation of my own projects. I have found it very hard to get any good relationships in these field.
I am very much interest in AI, fps, and in RTS type games. I would like to understand the Torque game engine aliittle better. I have been a programmer for a long time. There are hundreds of computer development tools that I have learn to use over the last 50 years. I know computers and computer development. I would like to use this knowledge in the development of computer games. I am a MAC user. I would like to work with some other people if possible. I hope there may be some interest.
Thank you.

Welcome to Torque. It's an amazing tool with one of the most active indie and retail development communities on the market. I guarantee you will not be dissappointed with the engine or the community involvement.
To say I "need" c++ help atm would be wrong. I am proofing most of my game modules in script before I convert them into C++ but stop by my project site and say hi. http://www.aakrana.com
I am not sure what I am doing is up your alley but I love this engine and enjoy workign with people who are truely intrested in learning it. I can't spare a lot of time for teaching but I think you will find the community as a whole is a fantastic resource to get your questions answered promptly.
Good luck on your adventure Fred. I wish you and your son well.
