new car no money
I havnt done a .plan in a long time and there have been HEAPS of changes in my life since my last one.
About a month ago I put my car (A 96 Toyota Camry) in for its 100,000km service and we were informed that it needed a new head gasket, was leaking oil up the spark plug tubes, possily was leaking oil into the coolant system and a few other nastys.
Translation, fix it or watch it explode.
After a little thought I jumped on the net and found out the redbook value of the car was $9,000.00 and as the repairs would cost about $3,000.00, it didnt seem wise to get it fixed. With this in mind we started thinking about new cars. The fact the both the front and rear of the camry had been pranged, giving it essentially a new paint job front and rear made it look really nice for a car its age so I was fairly sure we would get a good trade.
So we did the testdrive thing and decided straight away which car we wanted. They offered us $4,000.00 for our car though which wasnt good. I spent a couple of weeks pitting car salesmen against other car salesmen and eventually got them up to $10G trade (whos da man?) and we got our new car.
Holden Commodore V6 3.8 VY Equip model with pretty much the works

I am pretty happy with the deal I got out of them in the end and its a damm nice car.
I havnt been visiting the GG forums much lately as I have been coding for 21-6 on a new game that will feature at IGC. We have all been working hard and I think it is really going to shine but I cant say much more until it all goes public next week.
If anyone has been trying to contact me on the forums I appologise that I havnt made contact but I logged in and saw 15000 unread forum posts and just marked them all read :>
Anyway, thats about it from the land of oz except to say that, as always, we aussies are leaving you americans behind (by about 8 hours ;)
Later :)

Whats the kw on that car?
My brother got a VT v8 5.0 just a week ago. Funny how they have those two black things across the top of the cars now.
