Blog post
I just deleted my last post and am replacing it with some hopefully useful info:

New machinima series made with Torque.

First episode at www.tubedaze.com.

The site is still under construction, but the episode is available for download.

And I am new to sharing work and ideas in the online community, so let me know if I am doing anything wrong...like posting blogs that have no use.

First of all, great job! I definitely think you should continue your efforts. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these. Just a small criticism, the entire film seems a bit dark. I'm not sure if that's by design but it's hard to see.

I felt like I was there. In the Navy...

Seriously, Great characters! Great dialog. Great job all around!

Feels very Red vs Blue-esque. Rather nice :D
Looking foreward to more(and i agree, it was kinda overly dark)

Thanks for the praise!

@ Mr. Martinez and Mr. Raab: It is pretty dark, but that is by design since it is the middle of the night and will gradually transition into dusk and daytime as the series progresses. I will try to lighten it up a bit in the next show! Thanks for the input, and more stuff like this will make the series that much better!

Way to go shipmate! (yep - I'm an ex-squid)

That was incredible! Do you pre-script the camera or just have scenes set up that you move the camera around in.

By the way, I like it dark. It makes the humor funnier.

@Mr. Sims: I set up the scenes and just "film" the footage I need with Fraps, and then cut the scene together using Adobe Premiere Elements, much like a live-action film. And for the slow camera movements, I just adjusted the scale in Premiere to give the illusion that the camera is zooming or panning or dollying or do-se-do-ing.
Thanks for checking it out!

Edit: I accidently rated my own resource...noob.

Hey Patrick,

Thanks a ton for posting this. It was awesome! Very much enjoyed watching... when's the next one? :)

@Mr. Williams and all:
With time constraints and family, I am aiming to get two more episodes out before September 22, since that is the deadline for the Machinima Film Festival (I need three episodes to be considered for the series category). The next show should be up in a couple of weeks at the most!

If anyone went to the site and was crushed in disappointment at the lack of show, I have republished the site and please come back (see my second blog post entitled "Just a heads up..." for an explaination.)

If you were just mildly perturbed, you can come back, too. I guess.
