Just a few words & pics on the progress of SmokeJumpers. I'm still hoping to have a playable Level One of the Southwest campaign done by the end of January 2007. After getting some feedback that the topographical style graphics for the terrain was not in harmony with the other map symbols, I changed to 3D renders icons for the terrain. The following are screenshots of the five Wildfire Incident maps for Level One of the Southwest campaign. As mentioned in my last blog, there will be three potential starting locations for the wildfires in each incident which will be randomly chosen at time of play.

Next: Dunsmuir Mobile Park incident:

Lake Kaibab Recreational area incident:

Historic Wolfhouse incident:

Pecos River incident:

This is such a cool concept, it continues to intrigue me. Can't wait for the playable level in Jan, hope you post it up for the whole community to try and give feedback on when it's ready.

Don't forget to post a SmokeJumpers GGE page!

I'd also like to chime in with my support. You've kept me interested with each of your blogposts.

The map view reminds me a bit of Actraiser.
