Im 14, and im into computer gaming, espcially FPS, Ive played all the big multiplayer FPS games, Counter-strike, Wolfenstein ET, Battlefield 2, AA. and in all those games, i feel there's something missing. So i've decided to make my own game, with all those games put together, im not trying to copy them, i dont have enough skill and time to make super high poly Weapons with outstanding textures, and shaders that's not what i want in a game, sure it adds to how realistic the game feels but i cant help but feel something is missing. You play counter-strike and you want vehicles, you play battlefield and you want the rush of killing someone like on counter-strike
So, im making a computer game, what's the title? : Combat Operations
What's it about? : A modern day FPS game with vehicles
Im a real programming n00b and have never had ANY with any game engines. So i went and bought torque, had a play with it, experimented with various scripts off the GG site. Now im taking it to the next level. I've gpt my own art at my fingertips from my fellow teenager modeller. Im based in the UK and my resources are extremely limited as i dont have enough money, here's more about what i have
Computer :
Mac G4 dual 450mhz processors
1gb ram
128mb radeon 9200
Tools : TGE, Cinema 4d
im limited with interiot creation, ive used radiant but a liscense is too much for torque, so im not bothering... im going to wait for torque constructor for my interiors anyway you've probably had enough reading, this is my first blog, so please be kind and remeber im only 14... I cant really get across what im trying to say, basically i want a mix of all those big FPS games, but i want a quick reliable game, i dont care about graphics, as long as it isn't laggy in-game, but i do want to use TGE to it's full potential, if you see what i mean :P
i also plan to make other games at a later stage
Combat Opertaions site : www.willweb.co.uk please check the site out and have a look around
Combat Operations forum : www.forum.willweb.co.uk Please register and post comments etc.
here's a render of our weapons that will be 'starring' in CO and some screenshots of the HUD thanks for looking and please post comments

@ midhir : yes, all the HUD is my won stuff, made in photoshop CS2
@Paul : I mean that to use interiors created in radiant in torque you need to pay $5000, for the liscense of being able to put the game up for public site, im just going to wait for torque constructor...
@ Ian : Thanks, i love the models too...
@Brian : The textures for the weapons are all "scratch" textures, made from scratch in photoshop CS2
@oliver : I dont plan on ever giving up
again thanks for all your comments!

@Charles,
you can wait for the Torque constructor, or meanwhile you can use QuArK.
Okay many of the people arround here will say it's a pain in the a.., but it a tool, it's complete free and it has a good dif exporter.
All of our (3D-Diggers) DIFs are made with QuArK and more important I can use it and I'm a coder.
Maybe some tools and applications are better and easier to you, but the most young guys and girls like you don't have the money to spend tousends of dollar, euros, pounds in software.
My advice would for Torque would be, use:
- QuArK
- Blender
- Gimp (okay you have photoshop, so you don't need gimp)
This software is free and if you learn to work with that software, you can with every other software work.
