I made this in PaintShopPro. I really wanted to get into digital art and decided the best way would be to actually start making some stuff.

Of course I used an image as a reference, other than that everything is 100% PaintShopPro.

I also started working on a Halo picture but never finished it.

Some others:

Hitman, used photograph as reference

I plan on heading to college for art soon. Hopefully that will make me even better.

Anyway what inspired me to start doing this kind of thing was this guy:

Really some incredible stuff, I recommend you check that guy out. The detail he puts into his art is amazing. I hope I can get to that level someday, hence why I hope to take courses soon!

Mark stay true to yourself. Follow in the steps of others that succeeded but do it with your own style.
This is what makes artists unique and remember that anyone with any Artistic Talent always has a market out there waiting for it.
Getting to be like another artist will lead to frustration, being Artistic as you are, you can't see how great these images are already. and Mistakes? there is no such thing as a mistake in Art. and if you believe you made a mistake in anything you made then I assure you.. Only you will know it.. The outsider looking at these fine samples are all going to applaude you either in time spent admiring it, or more audibly with a handclap session.
Stay true to yourself Mark, this is great stuff.

You should check out DeviantArt (deviantart.com). There are some really great artists there, and more than a few of them share tips and some write very detailed tutorials on digital art. DA (several years ago) is what first got me into computer related art (3D and 2D).
