Talk about a difficult task. Trailer-Star.com has released their very first Trailer for the folks over at afterworld.ru. Afterworld is a MMO made heavily with the Torque Game engine that you can download and get for free over at their site with no fees whatsoever.

While it looks decent, it was difficult to do. Making a trailer for a MMO is harder than it seems and I learned that the hard way with limited hardware. I couldn't help but be surprised how great the game was however, I was constantly surprised by the little details they managed to throw into the game and what they did with the Torque engine.

Trailer-Star.com is still offering free trailers, so contact me at support@trailer-star.com if you want a trailer for your game. I warn you, we arent interested in paying for your game just to make a trailer for it.

The trailer isnt exactly what I had hoped it to be. But others seem to say it's pretty good, and that's all that matters I suppose.

I'm actuallly interested in making a trailer for that Switching Gears game, I think I could have some fun with that.

might help if trailer-star.com had some working buttons and links. Looks like one big jpeg

You're definitely a skilled video editor, the Afterworld trailer is very professional looking. Great use of sound and the logo at the end is pretty spectacular, as were some of the atmospheric shots. The one criticism I'd make though is that I didn't really get a feel for what it was like to actually play the game from watching the trailer. You mostly just showed us what the world looks like, but not what there is to do in it. But I've seen that tactic used before. Still, it feels almost like they've got something to hide, not showing much actual "gameplay".

The buttons will be clickable soon, I still want a few more videos before I make it fully operational

I understand you want more videos before you make it fully operational, but how will potential customers know how to contact you if your contact button doesn't even work? Even if you're doing it for free for now, you can't get your exposure because people who want to take advantage of the free offer can't contact you.

The video looks good and the music is really nice, too.

It was good but why was there only the player in the whole world? Actually, the trailer doesn't even tell you what the game is about so that's a bit confusing. Right now it only seems to show the level design only.

Mark.

Feel free to use the demo at www.switchinggearsgame.com to create a trailer if you so feel like it. Use it to promote trailer-star if you want to. Have fun with it. :)

Cheers,
