Alright, I was able to get some Alpha textures on the monkey, I think it's good for tonight. As long as I keep tweaking and tweaking the model it will keep looking better and better over time, kind of like what I did with the Retravoid textures.

I still have to do his feets, his little hands and that furr could be alot better, so i'll also tune that up, also his belly textures need some help because the color change makes his polygons stick out like a sore thumb.

Would be alot more easy if LithUnwrap was still free. I should have snagged it when I had the chance!

Regardless, I say so far so good. I'm happy with myself. Now all I have to do is animate the little bastard and I'll be even more happy. I never did animations before, so this should be interesting.

That's ... disturbing.

LOL, keep working at it. Can't wait to see it animated.

Ha, ha, ha, Nice!

...is that a nipple or a belly button?

Seriously, good job. You are making good progress.

I don't know what you are doing for uvmapping, Mark, but I personally like uvmapper-

The 'classic' version is free and cross-platform. It should be more then sufficient for now.

EDIT:
The Pro version is excellent. Get it if you decide you want to spend $50.00 USD on a uv mapper.

You obviously haven't seen the last version ;0)

Nice progress made there Mark, it looks less scary now, but still has something of the silent hill / children's clown about it. I don't know, perhaps it's the green eyes or something?

Nonetheless, great improvement from the last iteration in such a short time! :0)

I was able to make his polygons a little smoother, so now the shadows work correctly as they should.

It's kind of wierd, Milkshape screwed up the polygons when I started setting some groups, so I just basically selected every verticy and did a weld, then it kinda fixed itself. Very wierd.

He's getting there. Looks kinda creepy from some angles tho, I'll have to wiggle around the face polygons and textures to get him looking kid friendly from all angles

Only 808 triangles! WOO!
