Zorbtek Interactive America is officially announcing to the public- the development of "RETRAVOID", a science fiction action game using the Torque Shader Engine technology (not currently running on TSE in screenshots).

The current goal of "RETRAVOID" is to place the gamer in a world swamped with thousands of enemies (The Retras), where he/she must do battle with them in real-time. The player is given 12 special devestating attacks that can be earned while gaining points. The goal? All Retras must be rendered VOID. Kill them all, and survive while doing so.

A strange phantom-like 'thing' is tasked with this mission.

2 main reasons for posting this small devshot.

1. Showing and introducing the character, that may instantly bring back a memory of certain characters. (I have gotten Earth Worm Jim dozens of times)

2. We need HELP. As of right now, I am limited into progressing this game through development by paying for services, something I don't want to keep doing.

I am looking for a TEAM of hard working individuals, willing to put their talent, ideas, and work into this project.

Contact me, mark@zorbtek.com and send me a resume.

I am mostly in need of someone knowledgeable in all aspects of the Torque game engine, who is thoroughly educated in the 'structure' of Torque, and how it all works. We need you for general questions, testing, research etc. Knowledge with TorqueScript is highly needed for this position.

Aside from that, we need all kinds of help. From Animators, 3D artists, texture artists and more.

This is freelance work I'm requesting. I may be able to pay you in very small amounts (20 bucks for doing something useful) plus the game earnings be split to all who contribute.

We are dead serious in our efforts to release fun, unique games to the public. "RETRAVOID" is going to be our first prime example.

Have you thought about doing this game in 2D? Your fantastic character just begs to be done in 2D a la Alien Hominid. I feel that he looses something in the transition to 3D.

I have actually thought about him in 2D... And I do agree an Alien Hominid type of style for this guy would be just awsome. Due to the fact a 3D game is much harder in many aspects to complete than a 2D game, I'll very likely be purchasing TGB soon and also work on a 2D version whenever the 3D version comes to development haults - something that has been a problem

Looking good! Keep it up!
