Blog post
I knew that would make you look :)

Well this is my first blog post and comes with some good news (and pictures ... can't forget the pictures).

I've been a programmer for many years with the goal of making games. I now have worked myself into that position and am very happy with what I do.

Now on to the good stuff ...

I am glad to say that we are getting close to finishing one of our projects.

Details
- matching puzzle game with a few twists (more on the twists in a later blog).
- 100 levels with varying difficulty
- multiple modes of play (basic, timed, and xtreme)
- users system
- high scores

I'm going to save a few of the details till they are implemented, but it is a very fun puzzle game that requires thought to complete the levels.

Hopefully it will be out for play testing soon and if all goes well ready to be released.

Looks very cool :) Congrats :) I will check it out when you're done.

Erm ... looks nice but you might want to reduce bandwidth a bit and save your as JPG with 12 compression (80-90% quality) - At the moment it'll hit your site every time someone loads it for 800K at the moment.

@John : Thanks. We are hoping to be done with it soon and get a demo out.

@Andy : Nice tip. I might do it if I get the time. It really doesn't even scratch my bandwidth (unlimited - gotta love it).

I'll have some more pictures posted soon. I'm hoping today, but I won't make any promises on that.

Right now we are working on getting some more levels done.

but you probably should never make anyone download an image thats almost a 1mb big, when its just your logo.

Anthony Abrams   (May 22, 2007 at 17:47 GMT)
@ Matt : That's a very good point and as such I have turned it into a jpg @ 80% so that it's now ~118KB.

awesome, and the image looks the same. everyone wins! :)

LOL very true.

But now the image has changed. My artist decided the old screen was a bit lacking and made this instead.

Don't worry I made sure it would be small KB wise so that it doesn't make people have to download anything big. :)

I dont' consider that a big download myself, but the pic is very nice.

Loads much faster, and looks even better - thanks for listening :)

No Problem.

Glad to have someone talking to me other then the voices in me head.

I've been working on the levels pretty much all day and will be getting ready for play testing within the next few days.

I will probably make a few screen shots of some of the levels and post them up tomorrow.

I can't wait to get the demo out so people can play it and tell us what they think.

I will be posting some screen shots later today.

I got a few meetings to go to.

It's sad to admit but I'm addicted to my own game ... LOL.

There are still levels that I cannot beat.
