On The Road Again- Torque Pub's Nights
Free Drink Opp**
Busy, busy, busy. IGC is just days away and it is only the start of a one month mad dash PR/ conference hop/ networking blitz. GG is doing back to back-to-back appearances at IGC in Eugene, Future Play Summit (http://www.futureplay.org/index.php) East Lansing MI, Austin Game Conference (http://www.gameconference.com/) Austin TX, I/TSIC (http://www.iitsec.org/index.cfm) Orlando FL, and some where in there I'll be doing a tour up I-5 to Portland, Vancouver (BC) and Seattle. We may also do Seattle Code Camp (http://pacwest.ms/codecamp/sea/1/) I'll have 2 weeks of downtime until my entire family converges on my house for the holidays. If anyone has any good conference survival tips please share them. I already learned at the Casual Games Conference that if you don't write notes on the back's of people's cards there is almost no point in taking the card to begin with.
Here's the good news: As we wander from place to place we will be bringing libations and merriment! Fresh from IGC we'll have bunches of tasty tid bits and wholesome indie game news to spread. Yes, yes we'll be sharing some much-anticipated goings on from inside the garage and along the way buying some beers for you, our cherished community. If you can't make it to IGC make sure to catch us at:
Future Play Summit
GarageGames Reception October 14th 8pm
Harper's Restaurant and Brew Pub
131 Albert Ave.
East Lansing, MI 48823
FREE DRINK on us!
Austin Games Conference Oct 27-28th
GG Reception time and location TBA
Interservice/ Industry Training, Simulation & Education Conference (ITSEC) Nov. 28th- Dec. 1
For those of you coming to IGC buff up your stomach lining and feel free to come to these events as well = ). Things are absolutely cooking here at GG with no end in site for the tremendous momentum we are building. It's a great time to be developing with Torque! As we expand in the AAA, Casual Games, Serious games and Educational segments we are going to need you more than ever. So buff up your skills, come to a boot camp, make a playable demo, and contribute as we take Torque and the Indie Games Movement to the next level.

My recommendation? GG should buy all their employees really nice laptops with wiFi for Christmas so they can easily be sent on road trips without having to get too far away from work :)
Then we could have a couple smaller IGC's around the globe!

Advice: No Pangalactic Gargleblaster's or you won't be able to do much more than write some unlegible slop on the back of a buisness card.
When is the GG team coming to Philly?
