I recently came across an old launch game for the playstation 2 called 'fantavision'.

In this game you had to chain together fireworks, and detonate them in order to achieve points. Through varying powerups and increasingly complex fireworks you could achieve crazy chains, and higher scores. There was a 2 player mode whereby you could challenge a friend to raise towards a set score, or achieve the highest score over say 2 minutes. The game was nothing hardcore, just meant for a casual quick game. The problem was as a PS2 launch title it didn't exactly show off the PS2's "emotion engine", nor did it's retail price of

I'm not big on puzzle games, but I have a friend who likes Fantavision a lot. I do like particle systems though, does T2D have replays? Make sure you can watch your pretty show when you're done and less focused on the puzzly parts.

I was surprised by how entertaining Fantavision was. The spectacular fireworks displays and vibrant backdrops were very well done. It had alot more atmosphere than most games in it's genre. I agree with paul, being able to watch replays was a really cool feature.
