Here is a level that I would like to develop in a better idea. It is in my opinion that today's game have good enough graphics but the game play just is not there. THis level attemptes to fix that. Keep in mind that i would really like to make this into a MMRPG kind of like battle field 2 mix with EQ need all the help that i can get drop me a line if you thinl this is cool or totaly sucks;)
Hanjin Harbor
Hanjin Harbor offers a different style of game play for the first person shooter. The style that will pertain to this map will be a push style game play. Push style game play is a manner of game play that is dynamic, or constantly changing based on well each team is doing. Instead of just get points and capturing flags you actually have objectives that need to be completed in order for you to win.
For example, Hanjin Harbor is a shipping port where a shipment of guns is arriving. If you are on the coalition side ("The American") you have to get the guns off the ship and then you have to put them on a truck and get them to a checkpoint several miles away. If you are on the opposition ("Every one else but America") your goal is to basically steal the weapons and use them for your self.
Completion of any side is based on a number of things but both sides have the same basic requirements for completion, some goals are different due to the fact that there are opposing teams. Listed below are the level completion criteria in order of how they are completed in the game.
Coalition / Opposition goals
1: Make it to the harbor and secure it.
1.1 Here you have to make it from your base to the harbor, but the road out from both bases run into each other causing a bottle neck and your first battle. Make it threw here to the harbor.
2: Guard harbor for 10-20 minutes for ship to get in to the harbor and doc.
2.1 You have to actually hold five points down here in order to get a flag to drop at this base so that when you are killed you can respawn. The opposing team can at any time take the base for their self's allowing them to spawn. To get a base back you must hold done the points again to raise your flag back.
2.2 Once one team captures the base it triggers the boat to come in. If there is a draw for the flag meaning some one was killed while getting the flag and no one has claimed it yet the ships speed will drop by half and will continue until it reaches the port. It will seed back up once the points are captured. Best case time is 10 minutes to get the boat into the dock worst time is 20.
3: Get in crane and move weapon creates from the boat to 4 or 5 awaiting trucks.
3.1 Once the ship is in the port you have to take this huge crane and pick five crates of weapons out of the ship and then place them on five awaiting trucks, which spawn in the base specifically, not available in another part of the level. You have to get 5 creates of the 20 on board out and to your base. Moving the crane will not be to hard with views in first and third.
3.2 Now both the crane and the trucks can be blown up so cant he weapon creates. The truck and the crane can both come back the 20 weapon creates are the only 20 that there are and if all 20 are destroyed it turns to an instance team death match and the team to stay alive and basically wipe out the other team till there is no one left.
3.3 Repairing the trucks and the cranes can be completed using the wrench tool. Once a tuck is blown up I con not be brought back but it can be repaired to heal damage that it has received. The crane cane be blown up but it take a lot 4 c4's or 7 direct tank hits. To repair the crane all a solider needs to do is run up to the side and start pressing the mouse button to repair.
4: Take trucks 1 to 2 miles down the road to base.
4.1 If all goes good you should now be able to drive the trucks back to your base. But if on the way some one blows one up you have to go back get a new truck and create. You have to have 5 in order to complete the mission.
4.2 Now this really makes you think about how you take theses creates from the people and not blow them up. Road block, spike strips, running road block, what do I do to stop and take over instead of destroy. You have to use your brain in order win this game and not just be a good shot.
