After much wailing, gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair, TW BETA 1.3 (closed) is in the hands of the snarling hordes of betatesterii (genus: crashum burnum).
Of course, within one hour of release, there were 15 snags reported. Twelve hours later, 108 bugs or screw-ups were in the list.

>sigh<

Good news is that so far, the server has been rock solid.

This weekend we will be updating the world with all those things we meant to include but overlooked somehow. Then we tackle the bugs.

very cool pics,
do you have something running those life objects?

Ken Finney   (May 18, 2002 at 22:57 GMT)
Yes and no. Yes, there is a simple herding module running for them, and no it's not working. Actually it ran for awhile then they stopped moving. Don't know why yet.

heh and I just noticed that the calendar output is missing from the bottom screen where Strata is flying the Bell 47.

109.

cool, here we are working on a life system.
one that wont take a player slot, and has most other player type properties.

It's coming well ..
I have plans to use it for such things as this,
as well for the NPC of the single player game.
going to reserve the AIPlayer for Hero' types :)

Thanks Jeff !

Phil, check your team17 email.

No, not 'real' flocking AI. Just some stuff I put together where they follow each other around with a random delay. Which is broken. I think the sheep are gonna have to come out for awhile: the server is generating errors left & right. It keeps ticking along smoothly, but is gonna max out the HD with the console log !

Insane... I'm not quite sure why, but it looks cool. >;)

hehe... sheep.

Sometimes the best ideas are the simplist. This may be one of them.
Keep'em coming.

Hehe "Home is where the heart is"

Heh, I haven't seen puns used in games since Infocom's text games!

Cool stuff.

Wow, I didn't know this was in beta testing!

I want in! I emailed you at the address given on your profile. If that's incorrect, you can email me at mr_luc@llamahunter.com.

I love beta testing games. It's much more private. And beta testing indie games -- well, that's even better. I'm playtesting Spaceforce right now, too. I've been pleasantly surprised by how fun it's been, given how simple the game is right now.

This looks really cool.

edit: and yes, I know this is OFN. I still want to test!
