TSE milestone 1
Whew, October is and has been a crazy month. The first half was spent crunching for IGC preparations, planar reflections, and milestone 1. Since then it's been recovering from IGC and finishing off everything for milestone 1. Now I'm leaving tomorrow to go home to New York for my sister's wedding. I hope November is a little more relaxed!
So we're at milestone 1, FINALLY! It's all checked in now, the new milestones will be posted very soon, and there's some docs that still need to get done, but codewise we're there. I didn't think it would take this long, and I'm expecting the rest to go more quickly. We're going to be releasing the great demos that Tim Aste put together for IGC over the next few weeks, so look for those announcements and check them out. The TSE IGC presentation slides will also be released sometime soon, so if you're interested, they will be available.
I can't wait to get done with milestone 2; I think we'll get more done in less time for it (hopefully), and we'll have more impressive stuff too, so that's all going to be good. The plan is to get most of the outdoor work done for it. We're targeting terrain, water, and vehicles. After that we're going to slay bugs like madmen for milestone 3 and take care of some missing features and other small issues that are complicating the porting process from TGE. We want to stabilize as best we can at that point and encourage you guys to jump in and start building with it.

I'm looking forward the Milestone 2.
Alexander posted an interesting question.
Is GFX already ready for OpenGL or does this take some more time? Maybe with Milestone 2 or so?

That and being able to page those gorgeous 10,000 meter view tiles I saw and my eyes will be on a switch to TSE for our project.

Maybe you don't use vehicles that much. We do and I run into crash after crash after crash, mostly when colliding with stuff. Now, that's probably not what's going to be fixed, but it would be cool nevertheless.

OpenGL is still not ready, it's a really low priority right now, sorry guys, there's too much to be done in other areas. If someone wants to help out on creating an OGL device though, it would be quite welcome!

Dont kick me, looks like im impatient, but looks like TSE needs a really a lotsa lot of works while its will be finished, just becouse the milestone numbered only 001. Anyway...good luck and speed up the development if possible... ;)
