RPGCore being implemented in a basic TSE build.
Hey all,

I have spent alot of time building the RPGCore and now that I have stablized the majority of the engine I'm looking at porting it to TSE. Mainly just a demo build right now. I like what TSE has to offer and I figure the direction most programmers are going to go will be TSE so I figure I better get a head start. As soon as I get all the bugs out of the new build and merged into the head I'll try and wrap this project up and publish it as a resource.

Hmmm... I was never really clear exactly what all RPGCore was supposed to contain.

I'm personally of the opinion that there's still plenty of life left in TGE. I mean, I am tempted to create an RPG in Torque 2D! :) But eventually the torch will be passed, I guess.

TGE will still run on older hardware, which would make it the right choice for certain solutions. I think there's probably a lot of people though who are just waiting for TSE to get stable so they can begin porting over. (I know I've been trying to do as much as I can in script without touching the engine where I don't need to, to avoid porting headaches later).

Please keep the TGE stuff for a while until the Linux version of TSE has been made available to us.

PS: a Linux client would be nice too. :)

Heh, and also for the low technies like me...niether of my computers can run TSE (not even vers 1.1 pixel shaders X_X)
