Unveiling the beginnings of my game to the world.
So I finally got around to implementing a startup-menu, and end-of-game conditions. I also adjusted the placeholder music so that the aural aesthetic of the game is much closer to what I hope to accomplish. It's still very early: Only one gameplay mode (your basic Lumines gameplay), only one somewhat unfinished skin, placeholder music, no score-board... But the basic mechanics and some of the "experience" are there.

So without further ado, please allow me to introduce you to Harmonic Convergence!

Current system requirements stand at about a 1Ghz G4 processor (at full speed, so plug in your PowerBook!), and however much memory Torque2D wants. :p

I've only tested on MacOS X 10.4.2 so far. Let me know how things work on whatever version you're running!

Nice little game. Have you seen the other Lumines clones out there? There's quite a few being made in the indie world right now, a few for profit.

It's been a few months since I looked at Lumines clones... Didn't see anything targeted primarily at a Mac audience, and a couple of the ones I did see were pretty low-quality. Plus, none of them tried to vary the gameplay at all -- they all strive to exactly mimic Lumines, which seems kind of like a waste of effort to me. I'm trying to create an experience that's more intense, and more varied than Lumines. (Although I haven't done much of the coding for that yet since I'm still doing prerequisite stuff like getting it to transition between skins...)
