Of Mice, Men, Dwarves and Dragonkin
It's been so busy for me lately that I haven't really had a chance to work with TGE lately, but I did finish up learning the GUI system so that's done with. But, in my travels I have had enough time to work on the characters for FADE so I figured I might as well toss these up for posterity. Though some of the information is kinda useless without a grasp on the combat system (.plan that btw, Rob) I'll toss it here too as well at the end of the plan.

Out of everything, I'm having issues most with how to correctly implement a combat system. It's turn based, console-style, party-vs-party. You have your party of 3, of whom you control all 3, and an enemy party made up of predetermined types (a wolf, 2 wolves, 3 wolves, a wolf and a demon, etc). There are ways I can think of but I'm really not all that hot on some of them. I was originally thinking maybe setting them all up as AI players, and when their turn came up, if it was a PC character you could enter your commands in and they would act, but I'm not sure if I should do that or come up with a full system for it. I'll probably use the AIPlayer stuff for a quick prototype but i need to really sit down and think about something for a real implementation of that. I've always hated how something so simple in concept is always the hardest in implementation. :P

Bleh, back to work.
