StarSiege:2845 Alpha Tech Video
Well, since switching to Torque back in February our team has been working hard converting assets to work with the engine, and adding things to the engine to enable us to have the whole SS2845 vibe. For those who don't know, SS2845 is the sequel to StarSiege, which was a great Mech/Herc game made by the folks at Dynamix. We are hoping to create a game where not only do you control giant walking towers of destruction, but can also pilot jets, transport ships, buggies, tanks, hover vehicles and more. Oh ya, you can also be the little dudes that get smushed by the hercs if you really want.

Anyhow, we have an ATR release date set for sometime this month and since people have been waiting for a while we decided to release a video showing some of the progress we've made. As most of the people on this site know, making games in your spare time is hard. There are still a lot of loose ends to tie up, but progress is being made.

BTW I'm just a lowly programmer, 1 of about 40 people working on this thing. I honestly can't tell you how great it is to be a part of this team...there are some amazingly talented people working on this thing.

Anyhow, without further ado, here's the link to the forum post where you can download the vid: www.starsiege2845.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10757&st=0.

Walter, the video is in windows media format (.wmv). You should be able to view it in Windows media player.
