Thanks for all the caffeine
Just a quick update. Work and life has kept me pretty busy of late, so I haven't gotten nearly as much done as I would have liked.

Progress

I've finaly gotten the basics of the tank physics in now, with the suspension holding the Tank off the ground, and the wheels+tracks deforming properly (I think) with what ever they are colliding with.

I've also managed to strike a good balance in my spring dampening first time (experience with vehicle physics or just plain lucky?) so the Tanks isn't wobbling all over the place,

Next

I need to work out how I'm going to code the friction based model for the tank tracks to actually drive the tank and more importantly for now; to stop the tank from sliding around.

But for now...I must get some sleep. I may get some screen shots up later in the week, work, girlfriend and demanding teddy bear allowing.

Sounds cool...any chance you might release your modified vehicle class as a resource when you
finish it? =)

(Insert shameless begging noise here)

I hadn't though of doing that, but I don't see why not :o)

If it's based off Bravetree's tank pack you will need to contact them to see if you could release it as a resource. They may be willing to add your resource to their pack that way they can ensure only licensed tank pack owners can see any of their source if that is indeed the case.

I am indeed using the Bravetree Tank Pack, but only for the art.

That's a very good point though Michael, and I'll definitely give the guys at Bravetree a buzz about it. My code doesn't actually use any of theirs as it's all using the Torque rigidbody stuff but still...it would probably be best to conact them first.
