I had really hoped to be done working on these sci buildings a long time ago. (I see that my last post was from February XD) At any rate, I've just recently had the opportunity to start working on them again and wanted to show a little progress. The boring textures are still there until I get the geometry to a place where I can be satisfied but you should still be able to get a feel for what I'm going for.

Here's some screens

and a short video featuring my guitar playing as the audio track =p

Like I said 5 months ago, my intention is to release a pack containing some sci fi buildings. Now that I'm spending several hours a day with it, it should be finished fairly soon. Let me know what you think of the progress. (you can see some older screens in my last blog post)

Edit: I forgot, I wanted to add. If anyone out there is currently looking for a level designer I'm looking for some work. You can reach me by email in my profile.

The buildings look awesome, and I for one, am definitely in the market for some sci-fi buildings. Very nice Zach! Now finish them already so we can buy them from you! :)

Looks amazing

Looks good, I think a lot of the walls could benefit from some trims where it meets the floor.

I agree, I sort of have an idea of how I want the trim in my head but I'm having a hard time getting it to look the way I want so I just took it out for now. I'll figure something out eventually. It's those little details that are delaying the release.

No comment on my wicked guitar playing? =p

Great job! I can't wait to get this pack! Just what I needed!
The guitar playing.. rocks? :)
Btw, do you have an estimate when the pack would be out and what it will contain?
Thanks

great job, right there; reminds me of good ol' quake frag' days.

Looking cool mate, and sweet guitar playing too :)

Thanks for humoring me Konrad and James, haha.

Right now the closest estimate I can give is sometime within the next 2 weeks. I've got 3 or 4 buildings planned which are various sizes. If you have quark installed on your system you should be able to make a variety of your own buildings using my pack as well.

hey .. nice seeing your progress .. well my offer still stands form your last post ... about helping you figuring out porting to Constructor and getting them in to TGEA.

And have you dropped the idea of modules that the user can assemble themself in the ingame editor?

could you include a .map version as well. These look very promising. Have you considering doing a ship corridor set?
