Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since I last posted an .plan. I'm starting to work my way slowly back into game development just as a hobby again. I've played with torque here and there over the years but have failed to accomplish much. I hold no ill feelings towards torque whatsoever, I'm just admittedly lazy when it comes to learning to code =)
I find interior map making to be the most fun for me where it comes to game design. Over about the last month I've been working on some a lot of sci-fi buildings. For whatever reason I just can't get enough of sci-fi lately. I think it has a lot to do with my reminiscing of Star Wars Galaxies lately. I haven't played in about 3 years but I have a lot of fond memories of how the game used to be.
Anyways since I don't really have my finger on the pulse of what's going on in the game development community I was wondering if there is still a demand for the interior .dif buildings as content packs or if the focus has mainly shifted to dts format for interior modeling The reason I ask is because I've been modeling with quark for a few years now just for fun but am interested in getting some of my stuff to the public. Heres some screens of what I've been working on. (Sorry about the image size for those on smaller resolution monitors.)

My focus is to put together a science fiction interior pack for TGE. I've also included a sketch of a robot character I'm toying around with modeling for the pack as well. I'm kind of just interested to know what people think of the idea.
Is interior modeling with quark still an important skill where newer games are concerned or am I wasting my time with dead technology? I suppose either way it's really not a waste of time because I get a lot of enjoyment out of doing it.

The shots look sharp. Don't give up. As far as using Quark, you have to use what you feel will best hone your skill at making structures and such. Use constructor or even 3d world studio. You have to go with what you feel good with and the rest usually follows. Keep up the great work and don't give up. Just cause the Tech is older then say constructor don't mean you will get less use out of it, all it means is that there are other options to you designing levels or buildings or content in general. Remember, it's not what you use but how you use it.. yeah I know it's an old saying but holds true even to this.
Best of luck on the content,
Will

I think DTS for interiors is a bad idea, and a good sci-fi DIF pack would be very handy to me.
I suppose to make sure that its easily reusable, it'll be great.
I'll keep an eye on this ;-)

@Ian and Edward - I've wanted to purchase TGEA for a while now but the complexities seem a bit over my head. The biggest reason I haven't made the move to TGEA yet is I still feel like I haven't really mastered TGE. If after I'm finished with the pack someone wanted to collaborate with me to update it for TGEA that would be something I'm definitely interested in.
I really appreciate the positive feedback and the advice. I'm going to try to put together a demo mission to show off my interiors here when I get the chance, the screen shots don't really do them justice.
