I think there's a San Diego person or two around here so I thought I'd plug myself --

I'll be on the Fox morning show (local) tomorrow (Wednesday, 8/15) between 7-8AM talking about environmentalism, kids, and games,

and I'll be showing off Venture Arctic on KFMB - TV 8 on Thursday, August 23 around 7:35 AM. Tune in!

EDIT: Here's the Fox News spot YouTube style!

How cool! Always pimpin', always pluggin'!

Oh, and BTW. It's a small world. My fiance's brother was in a writing group with you. He's Steve Montgomery. It was kinda funny. We were talking about game development and he said that he didn't know much about it...but there was this guy who had a company that did a game called Venture Africa..." Small, small world!

Ha yeah, Steve ran the group. I don't think I've been in about a year... got busy with other stuff, but I enjoyed it a ton.

Cool, that should bring some nice publicity and extra sales! :0)

What's up fellow San Diegan. Congratulations man. I would wach your show but I work in the morning. No chance of them reshowing it in the evening? Hey we still gotta go to a Padres game someday in the future.

Here's the Fox News spot, it's a 5 minute long feature and they really showed off the game a lot more than I was expecting. Hooray for local media!

Man, that's great!

Andy, I must say that you're quite the inspiration. Clearly making a difference with a great topic, supporting education, games, and keeping it all non-divisive. Keep it up!

Great stuff Andy, man, you started making games when I started playing them (at least console wise), amazing! :-)

Well done interview, much better from the news team side than I expected. You kicked ass as usual Andy, congrats.

Ajari Wilson   (Aug 16, 2007 at 06:02 GMT)
Great interview. You really did a great job. One of the things I didn't care for was that he made Adventure Arctic out to be a kids game. I know older non-gamers tend to look at games as something just for kids, but now all of San Diego is possibly looking at Adventure Arctic as just a children's learning game. Now if this is good, bad, intentional on your part, or unintentional, I don't know. I know the game will do good no matter what so I guess it doesn't really matter.
