At the beginning of 2007 I actually made a New Year's Resolution, which is quite uncommon for me. My resolution was to make a serious contribution to my community. When I lived in South Carolina, I used to teach women's self defense and rape prevention seminars. There are few things in my life that are as fulfilling as teaching these seminars. To avoid a long story, I've started teaching again in Orlando, FL.
My first class had a small turn out, but we covered a lot of great tactics and basics. The attending ladies picked up the concepts quickly, and were pleased with what they learned. It should be noted, I do not teach tactics that involve blowing a whistle and yelling "Stop!" The defenses I teach are a combination of Aikido, mixed martial arts, police defense training, and common street fighting.
I do not brag about my own abilities, but I must say what I do teach is effective. So effective that I am still recovering from 2 cracked ribs and damaged cartilage. I think I'll wear padding for the next class I teach =).
So that covers the physical pain. Let's address mental anguish now. Pardon the expression, but the proce of writing documentation, and a tutorial, is a serious pain in the ass, regardless of the content. I'm still happy to do it, but I had to force myself to stop writing the 3rd tutorial because it was getting so big. The 4th tutorial is ready to go, I just have to spell check it and test the code.
I'm also going to work on a new format for the tutorials and documentation, based on the recommendations from this thread: Documentation is tough work...

Sorry for the eye sore, but in my last blog few payed attention to the important parts ( death of a family member and new documentation). That's my fault for posting pictures of cute girls, never again =).
Here's the new resource, which is my 3rd tutorial/documentation release:
New Torque Documentation - Part 3
Zombie Shortbus News
Also, while it's not a big deal, I still get excited seeing this : Zombie Shortbus
Also, we've just acquired two very talented artists to work on a new project for Zombie Shortbus. This isn't a game project, so that can only mean....Torque content pack creation. Hmm, I wonder what kind of content pack could be released by a company called Zombie Shortbus?
That's all for now, stay tuned.
