Torque Skel MAX v 1.5 released
Check out the Torque Skeleton Resource Page for more info.

The major addition is the Prop Control and Prop Control Animation Utility. It helps animate things where the two hands need to be "attached" to a single item, be it a gun, a broom, a box, whatever.

Here's a video of it in action. (DivX AVI)

I also upgraded the docs site and added a section about using the Prop Control.

Next up on the list (starting tomorrow) is a full upgrade of the Maya version. There have been a couple of bugs reported recently and it is falling behind the Max version.

Also, a Milkshape port of the skeleton is in the works (with a little help from some friends :))

Any news for Milkshape ??

Jeff Gran   (Oct 15, 2005 at 22:24 GMT)
Milkshape is on the back burner... I've had some (much appreciated) help from some community members in getting it rolling, but it's not all the way there yet. The biggest problem is that plugins for milkshape have to be written in C++, and I have to learn how to do that before I can make major progress.... I've gotten as far as seting up a project using another plugin that I can use as a "skeleton" (no pun intended) for the stuff I need to write... but don't hold your breath on this one, it could be a while.

Thanks for your interest. :)
